Japanese Film Festival @ Ayala Center Cebu Cinema 4

Organized by the Consular Office of Japan in Cebu in cooperation with the Japanese Association in Cebu, Inc., Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Cebu, Inc. and Ayala Center Cebu, a showcase of unique films from Japan is being presented in Ayala Center Cebu Cinema 4.

Admission is free-of-charge.

Synopsis: This animated film follows Nishi, a loser who has a crush on his childhood girlfriend. After an encounter with the Japanese mafia, the film follows Nishi as he journeys to heaven and back, and ends up trapped in an even more unlikely place.

Synopsis: A successful businessman’s family life is shattered by an early onset of Alzheimer’s.

Kamome Diner (2006) – PG-13

Synopsis: A good-natured film about inter-human relations which concerns a Japanese woman trying to make it to Helsinki by running her own diner with Japanese food

Memories of Matsuko (2006) – R 18

Synopsis: Shou’s father Norio finds his son in a rather meaningless existence in Tokyo dominated by alcohol and porn videos.
